Guaranteed Face to Face Meetings with Major Label A&R's

$DOLLA$, CEO OF BEATKNOCKA PRODUCTIONS
Firstly, give us some background info as it relates to you.
I started producing music, November of 2006. In 2007, music production became more than a hobby for me, it was more of a passion, therefore I decided to start BeatKnocKa Productions, etc.. My tracks were more than just “beats” to me because of the feeling/emotion that was put into each track that was being constructed. As I learned more, I managed to create my own unique sound which put me in a class of my own. Ever since, I've been going hard and investing 100% into myself/ (BeatKnocKa Productions).
What type of equipment do you use in the production process?
What style of music do you focus on?
I do not focus on only one style of music because I do not like to limit myself, so I step out the box on a regular basis. I like to customize track instrumentals that compliment the artists style (if there is a particular artist in mind). If there isn’t a particular artist in mind, I just focus on making GOOD music instead of focusing on a specific style of music.
What artist are you working with? What artist/producers would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Currently, I am working with a few up and coming hip hop artist: -Streets,
-Bop Karnegie,
- Face.Dot (Da Fleet Ent.),
-Soniq (singer),
-M.O. (G.. Boyz)……
I am open to working with any and every artist/producer who is as serious about their craft as I am. But, I'm even eager to work with artists that have a plan and not just a day by day side hustle.
Do you have any publishing deal or are you self published?
Presently, all of my work is self published.
Who do you think will be primarily responsible for finding and breaking new artist in the future?
I think artists themselves, will primarily be responsible for finding a way to break into the music industry. I feel the A&R will assist an artist in terms of making bigger moves but, the artist must have been creating a substantial following for their self before getting noticed. There are so many aspiring artists trying to break into the business, so it would be up to the artist to network and build those relationships in order to become and stay relevant.
What are your goals?
My present (short term) goal is to get my music recognized by obtaining secure placements, whether it be through films, music or gaming. My future goal is to one day be respected and viewed as one of the top producers in the music industry.
Who or what are your influences?
Anyone (whether producer/artist, etc.) that makes quality music, motivates and influence me to continue perfecting my craft and challenging myself to making good music.
What direction do you see rap music taking in the future? If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be and why?
Rap music is going to continue to evolve because there will always be a new generation that will come and bring change/different styles to the Hip Hop world. If I could, I would change the process of how an artist gets signed to a label. I would also want to see more talent and longevity within an artist.....
How can an artist get in contact with you?
The best way anyone can get in contact with me is by phone "DOLLA" (917)-804-890 . Other options of contact with me, is by leaving me a message on my myspace page; http://www.myspace.com/beatknockaproductions , or emailing me at beatknock@beatknockaproductions.com
