Give us some background info as to who you are.
Well, my name is FiTTit. I was raised around the sound of Haitian music. By the age of twelve I found my self performing music. I linked up with three other friends and we formed a group called H-Committee a.k.a Goodfellaz.
What is the significance of your name "Fittit"?
My name has the same meaning as a Jack of all trades, and that labels fits me all the way. Therefore, the streets call me FiTTiT.
What sets you apart from other aspiring rappers?
What sets me apart from other rappers is my cultural side. I bring a hybrid of Hip Hop & Haitain music and that enables me to move the crowd on a whole different level.
What is the philosophy by which you live by?
My philosophy is "always be prepared and always have a strategy." If you think you're going in. How do you think you're coming out?
Which artists have inspired you?
The artists who have inspired me are the one's who have excellent stage performances like Usher, Busta, ODB, and Red Man.
Who does your production?
The majority of my production is done bt AL aka K-oz.
What is your opinion of the current state of Hip Hop & Dancehall?
I think Hip Hop is on the rise and moving in the right direction, but they need to let some people from Jersey in the door. I think the Dance Hall music scene is just right, but they need a Haitian in the mix.
If you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why?
If i can change one thing about the industry it would involve the fact that I would have more Haitian influenced music playing on the air waves.
Are there any singers that you would like to collaborate with in the future?
I would like to collaborate with Alica Keys, Usher and Akon.
What producer would you like to collaborate with in the future?
The producers that I would like to work with ate Timberland, Dark Child, and Dr. Dre.
What is your favorite movie and favorite book?
My favorite movie is "Shottas" and my favorite book is "OF MICE AND MEN."
What are some major misconceptions that you think people have of you?
People tend to tell me that I can do better and that I don't take things too seriously.
What is your favorite part of your live show? How has it evolved?
The best part of my show is when I have the floor - I take command of the stage. I think over the years I've improved my in regards to interacting with the crowd.
What is your LP going to be like?
My first LP is going to be bananas because of all of the eclectic sounds!
