Exclusive Interview with New York's Newest Rap Sensation Fella

(FELLA - THE ENTERTAINER)

Give us some background info as to who you are.

My name is Fella - Da One and Only. I reside in the Bronx, New York. I major in business management at BMCC College. I'm 21 years old and I have been addicted to music since the age of five.

What sets you apart from other Rappers?

The thing that sets me apart from other rappers involves the fact that I am very versatile. I can dance, produce, write songs and entertain. My performances are filled with passion. My wordplay is intense. I don’t call myself a rapper. I call myself a Hip Hop Entertainer.

What is the philosophy by which you live by?

The philosophy I live by is God first. I also believe that loyalty, family, hardwork and dedication are the keys to success.

Which artists have inspired you?

The artists who have inspired me include: Jay-Z, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Aaliyah, Gladys Knight , Biggie, Kool Herk, Aretha Franklin, etc.

Who does your production?

I work with some great producers like Bad Sport, Ayo and C.Spit.

What is your opinion of the current state of Hip Hop?

Presently, Hip Hop mainly focuses on radio singles and dance singles. I believe that being "hot for the moment" will not result into longevity. You can't sell an album on the market based on one single with no other potential hits on the album.

If you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why?

If I could change one thing I would remove the artists who don’t add any value to the Hip Hop culture. Also I would like to see less negativity. Can't we all just get along? Lol!

Any singers would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Yes, I would love to collaborate with Alicia keys, Kiesha Cole, Mary J., Janet Jackson, Monica and Melissa Fiona.

What producer would you like to collaborate with in the future?

I look forward to one day recording a song with Timberland, Bangledash, Swizz beatz, Hi-tek, Pharell, Scott Storch and Dr. Dre.

What is your favorite movie and favorite book?

My favorite movie is "The Five Heart Beats and my favorite book is "Push".

What are some major misconceptions that you think people have of you?

I'm not sure.. Besides being hyper active and acting like a big kid at times, people love me! LOL..

What is your favorite part of your live show? How has it evolved?

I love dancing and flirting with the ladies. I'm a true entertainer. I command the stage and I bring a lot of swagger.

What is your LP going to be like?

My LP is going to be electrifying! It will be innovative and original with unique lyrical content!
